I know this is going to sound funny to all of you but I am having a problem with my dill. No matter what I do it seems to be dieing.. I have it in a pot now and it has good potting soil I try to water it without giving it to much.. Any ideas?? I really want to grow this stuff however it does not seem to want me to grow it...
Also how do you all dry your herbs? Can you hang dry them for cooking??? What about meds???
Thank you glenda

Hi Glenda, I was just wondering if you ever got your answer on growing the dill. I have had ok luck with it in a pot on my deck..we didnt dry it or use it too much just kind of snipped it off now and then to add to our cukes and vinegar during the summer! But I was just curious if anyone could figure out what kind of problems you had. Anyways if you had any new ideas on dill I would be interested to hear them, I would like to grow more for canning pickles. Good luck, Lori

Dill grows pretty good here. My problem is having it ready, when the cukes are ready. I think the best thing would be to plant a little every week for about a 6 weeks, that way some would be ready when the cukes are ready. I tend to plant it too soon and end up using it dried in pickles, instead of fresh...so sad... It likes it on the dryer side, here...

thanks for the tip on planting dill in intervals like that. I have some started now just to see how it does. Every other time I have just bought some small plants from the nursery. I will try starting some every week or so from now on and see what results I get
