Hello people of Alaska, I am wanting to move to Alaska and homested but have no clue how to do so. Let me explain,I have no clue what amount of money to save for supplies and what not, where it is even possible to do this nor where or how to go about doing this...I want with every bone in my body to go to a simplier life and live my way, I have since I can remember. So I am asking for so help in these matters I am 20 and just a small town Georgian man. Please help me understand some of these concepts, or point me in a good direction Also I would like to know the climate and if it is legeal to well live completely off the land.

Welcome Jubie. What part of Georgia? I have family near Wrightsville and other areas.
Save a lot of money before making the move. Do a lot of research. You really should visit first. Winter is not like anything you have ever experienced in GA for sure. We moved to AK from Northern Arizona. We were used to freezing winter temps, snow and ice. But it was nothing like AK. I loved my first winter in Alaska but it wasn't anything like the winters I had experienced before.
