Hello everyone, I am new here. My husband and I are moving to Alaska in the 2007. We are very excited to move to a peaceful place. Living in Florida has been horrible for us and we have been trying to get outa here for years. Now we have decided to leave no matter what by next year. We miss and love the cold & being in nature, also isolation is our most important factor. I think we have been to almost every Alaska site there is trying to gather as much info as possible but we have tons of questions and have had no luck finding anyone who could give is the correct information. This looks like a very helpful good site. I hope to learn much about the most beautiful state left in the US. Wilderness here we come!!!

Thanks for the nice welcome, nice to meet you. I was wondering if anyone knows of the best remote land sites for alaska. We wanted to move somewhere in the interior of alaska doesn't really matter where as long as certain conditions apply. 5 acres or less for cheap, very wooded with a river lake etc on property or close by, isolation is a must must but can get to by car even if we have to walk a mile or two in. Low or no taxes. that's about it actually, we are pretty much moving there with nothing other than supplies and enouph money to buy some small piece of land. If we can't find curtain things that is fine with us but we need some help with finding close to what we have been looking for. Anyone have any info they wanna share that would be great! Thanks.

Go down to the Alaska Lands links he state has 1000's of acres over the counter. Don't let the subdivision scare you almost Alaska land is a in a subdivision.
Our neighbor has just under 5 acres in the Southeast with a small frame cabin on it. If you are interested PM me I'll send you the contact information.

Hi. My husband and I are also new here to the forum. We made our first trip to Alaska in 2005 and fell in love with Alaska! We are praying about making the "BIG" move next year also. Each day we go to this forum and so enjoy reading everyone's thoughts and ideas. We also realize that many of you have the experience that we do not have, yet, and we are soaking in everything that we can! We have many questions and will probably be on line a great deal from here on .....
