So is there any one out there? What is every one doing? Boy the forum has been quiet for so long. Is there any one out there that is not busting for the last bits of summer before the real termination dust hits? I have been clearing land, putting up fencing, working on getting a wood stove installed. got most of the housing for the turkeys, chickens, and geese settled so they will be comfortable for the winter. Getting a storage shed moved so i can attach a green house, and plow up a 36x175 ft garden spot. Will line out the goat, pig, and calf area before winter so i can do the fencing for them next spring. and hopefully get one or 2 of each then.

I am not in Alaska so I've got a couple of months at least before snow flies. We are just putting in our fall garden. We are also planning to do some construction on our home. We are going to increase our small kitchen by 175 square feet. I can't wait! I'll have a lot more space and we can get a table that will seat all of us. One of our chickens died this morning and we don't know why. We are so sad since this particular chicken had a name (Francine) and we loved her. You have a lot of plans Washkeeton! I hope you get everything done. Anyway, this place has been so slow. Thank you for posting.

Washkeeton! You have been BUSY! I think I am jealose! ;D Down here in KAnsas, we are still struggling with summers heat. I am picking blackberries, but we don't have too many this year as the brambles are sick: Prtobably anthracnose. I can spray for it after the plants are done bearing. The kids went off to school yesterday, so far so good. It is always a wrench to see them go, but THEY Are looking forward to it! An entire school FULL of kids their own age! I am considering tilling next years garden spot and planting a cover crop of peas, but, there are higher-priority things right now. Things like pruning and treating the berries, mending the house, and handling the bees so that they are ready for the winter. It looks like there won't be many flowers this fall, so I might have to feed. Take care!

Would be getting a lot more done if it would quit raining.
