I decided to try my sourdough out and make some pancakes... here's the recipe that I used:
SOURDOUGH PANCAKE RECIPE
Into a medium size clean mixing bowl pour one cup of room temperature sourdough starter. Add two tablespoons of cooking oil and stir well. Beat one egg and stir into the starter along with two tablespoons of sugar. Stir in three-fourths cup of flour. Add one-quarter teaspoon salt and stir into the batter. The sourdough batter will now begin to foam and rise in the bowl. Let the batter stand till nice and bubbly. Now fry the pancakes in a skillet or on a griddle. Note: Make sure the dough is liguid enough... about like regular pancake dough or it won't rise as well.
I didn't let it get bubbly enough so they were not as light as they could have been... (not until the last one! lol)but good anyways!
