I know that this isn't a normal thread but it is one of God's Cures for sure.
Let me explain.
2 months ago I lost my father. It was very unexpected but fortunately for all he passed quickly and painlessly. During that same time my girlfriend and son had a major blow out and she and I split up. It was kind of a tough week for me.
Now I am self-employed so this passing has been hard on me financialy as well with trying to keep up his bills and my own. So I have fallen behind on my cell bill that managed to reach a healthy size to it with all of the use it got during my fathers passing. I tell you all of this so you will understand what happend next.
Daily, I receive a phone call from the cell phone company wanting payment and I have explained the ordeal and it just seem like it has fallen on deaf ears with them. Well, the other day (wed. 3-15-06) I received their phone call and decided to call them and voice my opinion of them. It was not my most proud moment and I used some colorfull language with her. To my amazement she stayed on the line but was very firm with me and quickly put me in my place. It was then that I realized how much of a donkeys rearend I had been to this innocent person and I calmed myself down and appologized about a dozen times to her. Over the course of the next 5 minutes with her helping me everyway she could I started to appreciate her more and more. When we were done I again appologized for my unexcuseable behavior and jokingly said that she had just had the worst customer of the day and that it was only 10 a.m. and the rest of the calls for the day would be frosting on the cake for her.
I tell you all this story not for sympathy for my loss or to share with you how much of a rearend I can be at times. But to let all of you know that there is an Angel living only 150 miles from me.
See, today (only 2 days after my not so proud of moment with her) I received a card of sympathy from her. Not just a company letter-head card but a Hallmark card. That means that she got off work that day made a special trip to the Hallmark store and purchased with her own money a card for me...Folks, I have an Angel living 150 miles from me and I have personally talked with that Angel. The Angels name is "Dawn".
How lucky am I...
I tell this story because I think others should know. Too many times we only hear of the bad things people do.
I would like to ask you to pray for her and have God bless her with His Glory and Love the way that she has blessed me.
