I have read that dandelion leaves are excellent for the kidneys (the roots are supposed to be great for the liver). I have recently found that if I eat anything with sorbitol, it makes my kidneys hurt. (not too bad -- just feels like a nagging backache). If I don't take anything, the pain will go away in about 3 days. But, if I take a dropper full of Dandelion leaf tincture, or drink a mild cup of tea, the pain is gone in an hour or so. Sometimes I've had to repeat once during the day, but that's all. Once, before I had any dandelion, and before I realized what was causing the pain, I tried a combo of a dropper each of chickweed tincture and horsetail tincture. That worked, too, but it took about a day for the pain to go away. Just my tip of the day Dandelion is also supposed to be excellent for urinary tract infections and other problems. Jenny
