A short list of commands that me and the pups will be trying to learn together Gee (pronounced JEE): Turn right Haw: Turn left Hold Tight: keep the line from the tugline taut Hike: RUN fast! Good dogs: keep doing what you're doing Easy: Slow down Pick it up: Go faster Come gee: Make a U-turn to the right Come haw: Make a U-turn to the left Gee over: move over to the right side of the trail Haw over: move over to the left side of the trail On By: stay the course and disregard distractions Go Home: return to the truck, house, whatever it is you train them from Go on: move ahead Whoa: stop now I think that's enough for all of us to learn!! lol Thanks for posting those lol
Guess it would help to teach the commands if you know what your teaching huh. lol ;D
I use tighten up for hold tight. I also use trail gee and trail haw for the move to the right or left
Whoa is a great one to teach if you can get the dogs to do it. Most of your race dogs dont ever get taught that cause the mushers dont want them to stop for any thing. That is how I lost my team for the first time. lol
