LOL, I didn't catch that Wash, until you posted that... how funny! We got a little chuckle out of it, too, when we first read it, but weren't going to mention it. I've sure said plenty of things like that.

We dont live in the bush... but have had ducks successfully for a few years all year by putting them in our green house in the winter. We have electricity so it is not hard to keep fresh water available for them with a de icer. The windows allow for plenty of sunlight when it is nice and we just put a little hay down for them so they are not constantly walking on frozen ground. If we have a particularly nice day we fill an old baby swimming pool with water and let them out to bathe. They have a great time getting clean. In the spring we move them outside, and put them in a covered, moveable dog kennel at night and let them free range during the day.

Hi Terri, ...We built one little house for our goats and chickens. The outside walls and "attic" are insulated. We built a thin, uninsulated wall between the chickens and goats... Jenny I'm curious, what do you insulate with? A natural, readily available item like moss, I'm assuming. I'm thinking you don't fly fiberglass insulation out to the bush. Right?

Right? wrong, we all of our frame buildings are insulated with glass.
