Is the fact that living there I won't be getting Lyme Disease! No ticks, fleas, snakes, poisonious spiders (maybe hobo spiders???)... in short BUGS (of course snakes are not bugs! ;D Skeeters will probably make up for it... Anything else?

Alaska has lots and lots of BUGS The little biting flies are almost as bad as the skeeters, and we had the worst wasps I have seen anywhere. You could hardly be outside with out getting swarmed You are right about the tics, they are one bug that I will never miss, so glad Alaska does not have them Mytime

Maybe LOTS of bugs, but not lots of TYPES of bugs? Seems we didn't have to much that bothered except the bee's, SKEETERS and fly's... I LOVED the Ozarks, but it has to be the bug capital of the US... ;D along with SNAKES... I seriously don't like snakes.

My big thing is ticks... hate those things. I developed a fobia for them when I lived in Arkansas. Silly perhaps. But doesn't matter cause I don't have to live with them no mo! ;D This will be my last post until I get to Alaska (the 17th ;D) and get to the library... I am soooo excited. Later all! (what... no waving smillie? )
