In case y'all haven't heard about this, it's something everyone should know about. NAIS. It's a Department of Agriculture "program" to chip animals. Pretty much ALL animals. It's supposed to be primarily livestock, to track them and prevent the spread of disease. But, well, I have to say that I just don't believe it. It's very late right now, and I'm too sleepy to go into lots of detail. I've just been hearing about this in the last few months. But here are some things to check out. I copied and pasted the following from from stopanimalid.org/blog/ Derry Brownfield has an ag news radio show www.brownfieldagnews.com ". . . Derry put paid to the idea this is “voluntary”. We knew it isn’t, anyway, yes. The issue has been making other people see that, since it is voluntary *now*. Well in Texas they aren’t quite so shy about telling you the way things are gonna be: In Texas, once this is in full effect, you will be fined $1000 a DAY for not registering your premises if you have animals and, the way the Texas regs are worded, that INCLUDES pets. Listen to Derry, but just so you know, officials in Texas have said every animal in the state will have a tag/chip by 2007. Period. Can’t get any more voluntary than that, eh? . . ." If you just go to www.stopanimalid.org you'll find lots of good information. I think it's just the beginning. They're already getting ready to put RFID chips in passports (or have they already started/), and they're in products we buy in stores. Now they want to put them in all of our animals. Some hospitals put RFID chips in the ID bracelets of patients. And they're already being used/tested in humans. OK. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this . . . It won't be long before no animals could be bought or sold without a chip (in them ----- not us, yet). It's more control over the food supply, and therefore control over the population.

Jenny ~ I've been reading a little about this and it is very scary! how much control the gov't will have over our food supply.
What's next? Will we have to register our gardens?
I do understand the current necessity of being able to track where the food comes from to ensure the safety of it, but this is overkill.
What I dont' understand is why the gov't doesn't use the billions of dollars that this program will cost to ensure the animal farms are treating their animals properly and feeding them properly (i.e. no animal carcasses in the feed).
They are going about this the wrong way, as usual.
Anyone else here afraid of our government?

About registering the garden -------- probably yes. In Europe, things are MUCH worse already. This is just the beginning. Here's another link well worth reading: homeschoolblogger.com/SDBookMom/68048/

Yes the government is wanting to register all animals. Well at 20.00 per chip i dont think that will be happening too darn soon in this house hold. Tx is mandating all animals be registered. I was talking to a friend on another forum about this just the other day. It is getting very scarry about what the government wants to do and how involved they are getting in our lives. It, unfortunately will only get worse.

I don't think it'll be happening in this home either, and if they require it, well we'll be moving on someplace VERY remote that they'll have to come and get us first. I've always been sort of a rebel, and ya know, this just makes it come out even more. And people wonder why we want to live in the middle of no where with dogs and guns.

So am I wolfwoman, so am I. (A rebel that is) sorry but you will have to force me and maybe jail me to get me to chip my animals sorry. I believe in a government By the people, for the people, of the people. Isnt that what the constitution says any way? That sounds like a dictatorship to me kinda like the seatbelt law think?

This is Scary! To say the least! Freedoms what Freedoms? Someone explain that to me, I'm loosing that concept! I read Jenny's comment in a prior posting, someting about a Constitution, I'm quoting George W. Bush directly (The fine outstanding christrian man that he is), on what he thinks of the Constitution---Please excuse the vogabules but I Quote-"It is nothing but a g&&&&&&&&& piece of Paper!" That sums it up where the citizens of America stand in regards to their government. The current political puppets are looking out for non other than "The Big Machine".
This NAIS chip being inserted into animals, this is only the tip of the iceberg. The use of electronic surveilance on animals is only a "Test"! The beginning!! An Experiment! Bird Flu, Mad Cow! Humbug! isolated cases, no pandamenic. This "Chip" will be perfected on how to locate these beings, identify them, monitor their movements along with tons of other data. Then after it has been determined as to what all information they can collect and the Perfecting of this "Electronic Monitoring" in animals it will then present an opportunity for "Big Brother" to mandate the placement of these chips into it's citizens. Give that some REAL THOUGHT!! Seriously! What a better way to keep track of it's citizens!!!!!!! Big Brother will have access to every minute of our every day lives. George Orwell wasn't very far off!

I'm quoting George W. Bush directly (The fine outstanding christrian man that he is) All other crapola aside, does one HAVE TO BE A christian to be 'fine' and 'outstanding' ? Seems as tho that's all that's heard anymore, even if the person is a royal you-know-what he/she is STILL A FINE OUTSTANDING Christian. I most certainly know I'm overstepping bounds here and probably stepping on more than toes, but you know what, those of us that at NOT CHRISTIAN are tired of that saying. Basically what it's saying is that if you are NOT CHRISTIAN you CANNOT be fine or outstanding. What's up what that? Maybe this post needs to go somewhere else, and I'm not picking on Frostbite, but I'll be you-know-what if I have to keep hearing that! It's INSANE.............. Ok, I'm done venting until someone replies. I have a feeling I'm not done tho! Wolfie
