What would you say are your most versatile hand tools for the bush. As power tools can fail, what are the must have back ups? Good axle, good draw blade, ability and knowledge to sharpen them? What else? What kind of saw? Hand Drill and Bits? other items? Thoughts?
Thanks, Sean

I have a few two-man crosscut saws shortened so one person can use them. I also have several axes one splitting ax, a Hudson bay, a working ax, and several camp axes. I also have a broad ax, an adz and 3 draw knives. i keep files and stones for all of them and know how to use them reasonably well. If I could find a source I would keep files on hand to sharpen auger bits so far I can't find anyone who knows what I'm talking about so I do the best I can with small mill files. I like my power tools and will use the as long as I can but it is nice to have back ups and the ability to use them.
