Here is an idea for someone: I am interested in Essiac tea but it is either very expensive or I'm not sure if the company selling it takes the time to ensure the dosage in the tea is right. I might be willing to buy a kit containing seeds/seedlings to grow my own herbs and a book on how to grow, harvest, dry, and make tea/extract for tea. I know I can look up the herbs myself and buy them separately as well as a book on how to make the tea. Problem is, I'm the type of person who would just as soon pay a few dollars more for a kit.

www.essiacinfo.org/There are a lot of individuals that claim that it can cure cancer and other ailments. Seems that Canada at one time wanted it labeled as such but failed by about two votes. As far as I know, four-herb tea is the same as Essiac tea.

The four main herbs that make up Essiac are Burdock Root, Slippery Elm Inner Bark, Sheep Sorrel and Indian Rhubarb Root. The four herbs may help normalize body systems by cleansing the blood, purging toxic build up, promoting cell repair and aiding in effective assimilation and elimination. When combined it is believed that their separate beneficial effects are enhanced. www.essiacinfo.org/essiac.htmlThe site has a lot of information on this and you might find it interesting.

A few years ago I saw Essiac tea in a Vitamin Shoppe catalog. I haven't looked for it, but you could check thier website: www.vitaminshoppe.com I've also heard that it used to be marked in Canada as a cancer prevention tea, as well as a treatment/cure. Jenny www.AlaskaHomesteading.com
