Here are a couple photos I took while backpacking In the Bighorn Crags, in central Idaho. The lake that I camped at was at nearly 9,000 ft. These pictures were taken on October 1st. There was no snow when I packed in but an overnight storm left about 8 inches.   |

WOW ! ! ! Those are some fantastic photographs! When will your calendar be ready? ;D What a peaceful looking place for a camp. I don't think I'd ever want to leave there.
Chuck had a similar experience a few years ago at hunting camp when he was guiding. No snow when they went to bed one night, then woke up to a scene like the ones you showed here. The first snow of the year is always so incredibly beautiful.
