Which size mill seems to be the most useful for logs. a 24" maybe? or would a larger size be more useful.
I am about to buy one from Ben Meadows catalog.

I would go with a 30" or bigger You loose a few inches . If you take the spikes off the saw you gain some. I use a 30" mill with a 32" bar. Make sure you get a rip chain they are faster and smoother. You might check Baileys-online they have a ton of chainsaw accessories.
